POLICIES
RESEARCH POLICY

The College encourages the faculty members to carry out research work in their respective field by providing lab space in respective departments.

The College emboldens staff members to submit minor and major research projects to different funding agencies for funding.

The College permits faculty members to register for Ph.D. under part time and facilitates them to complete their Ph.D.

The College helps to disburse funds received from funding agencies without any hassles to the Principal Investigators to carry out their project work smoothly.

The College has simple procedure to purchase equipment, glassware and chemicals needed for research.

Full autonomy has been given to the faculty members to carry out the research as per terms and conditions given by funding agencies.

JRFs and Project assistants are appointed immediately as per norms of the funding agencies under the direction of Principal Investigators.

The College encourages faculty members to take up the work related to research like keynote speakers, resource persons for refresher course conducted by ASC-HRDC, Chairperson in the research board, reviewers for papers and projects, consultants for the industry and as experts in different research bodies.

The College sanctions ‘on other duty’ to the faculty members to attend project review meetings, task force meetings, seminars, conferences, workshops and other activities related to research.

The College encourages the students to pursue research work in M.Phil., and Ph.D. programmes. The college provides residential and internet facility to researchers.

The College provides registration fee to the faculty members to present a Research Paper in the National or International Seminars/Conference/Symposium.
CONSULTANCY POLICY
The chief goal of the Institution is to harness students’ identification with the college and its ambitions and aspirations to transform the outcome of learning into beneficial fruits for societal progress. And therefore, the college always aims at catering to the social, educational and scientific needs of the human society by extending its expertise and age old experience.

Consistent support coupled with inspiring encouragement extended by distinguished College Committee is mesmerizing practical realities in the realms of research for advancement of knowledge, for the progress of scholarships and for the wellbeing of the society.

The Research Hub on the campus has established sound National and International links for accomplishing research in different disciplines to extend its services to whoever or whatever needful be. The amount, thus generated is to be strictly utilized on welfare schemes for students’ wellbeing in studies and their consistent progress.

The college should benefit from such service by netting reasonable income, by expanding its frontiers of popularity and by enlarging its branded image being the biggest Research Centre in the whole of Thiruvalluvar University.

Care must be taken to see that no such Consultancy Service should be against the held Policies of the college that govern its norms of employment; its code of conduct for the Staff and Students; its Vision and Mission and its Goals.

The Consultancy Service extended to Private Agencies should at no cost affect the duties and responsibilities or the fame and name of the Professor or Scholar who extends this service with the nobility of his heart and with the dire intention of serving the society.

Private Consultancies are strictly barred from making use of College Trademarks such as the College Crest, Letterheads, Banners, intellectual property on the campus, ingenuous ability of scholars and so on.

The Consultancy Policy framed by the Institution should not be trespassed or violated under any circumstance or misused for any research assignment undertaken by unauthorized Agencies.
