The Kavin Kalai Vizha, organized by the Department of Tamil, C. Abdul Hakeem College, commenced successfully at 11.00 a.m. on 25 August 2026. Various competitions were conducted for the students, including Singing, Drawing, Individual Talent, Recitation, and “Thamizhodu Uravaadu” (Bonding with Tamil).
The competitions were judged by the faculty members of the Department of Tamil,Dr. A. M. J. Rafeek Basha, Prof. A. J.Abdhur Rakhib, Prof.J. Harshath Basha, and Dr. R. N.Jegan,Prof. A. Waseem Akther who actively participated and carried out their responsibilities effectively.
At the conclusion of the competitions, the Valedictory Ceremony was held under the esteemed leadership of the Principal, Dr. S. Zaheer Ahmed. The Programme Coordinator, Dr. N. Murugan, delivered the welcome address, while the Head of the Department of Tamil, Dr. M. Thamim Mansoor, delivered the assessment and concluding remarks.
The winners of the various competitions were honoured with prizes, trophies, and certificates. The programme was compered by Mr. S. Jaffer, Assistant Professor of Tamil. Finally, Abubacker, a second-year History student, delivered the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a successful conclusion.
The programme was enthusiastically attended by the faculty members of the Department of Tamil and more than 100 students. The Kavin Kalai Vizha provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their artistic talents, creativity, and interest in the Tamil language and literature, making the event a grand success.
