Workshop on Effective Research Proposal and Funding Agencies | IQAC & Research Committee | C. Abdul Hakeem College
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research Committee of C. Abdul Hakeem College (Autonomous), Melvisharam, organized a Workshop on "Effective Research Proposal: The Various Funding Agencies" on 18 June 2026 in the Conference Hall.
The workshop was conducted with the objective of enhancing the research capabilities of faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students by providing comprehensive guidance on preparing effective and competitive research proposals. The session focused on project formulation, identifying suitable funding agencies, understanding evaluation criteria, and strategies for securing research grants from national and international funding organizations.
The workshop featured Prof. N. Vijayan, Chief Scientist & Professor (AcSIR), Emerging Reference Materials Group, BND (Indian Reference Materials) Division, CSIR – National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), New Delhi, as the Chief Guest and Resource Person. He shared his extensive experience in research project development, funding opportunities, proposal writing techniques, and best practices for obtaining research grants.
The programme was organized under the patronage of Mr. S. Z. Abrar Ahmed, Secretary & Correspondent, and the guidance of Dr. S. Zaheer Ahmed, Principal. The event was coordinated by Dr. A. Sait Sahul Hameed, Co-Ordinator, Research Committee, and Dr. P. Mohamed Vaseem, Co-Ordinator, IQAC.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students, making it a highly informative and enriching academic event.
