/  Facilities


                The College campus is spread over an area of about 21 acres. The College has a 2 storeyed building with different blocks which accommodate all the class rooms, office rooms, Principals chambers, New block for Controller of Examinations, separate staff rooms for different departments, laboratories, toilets, etc. The class rooms are spacious and furnished. The science departments have spacious and well equipped laboratories and stores with sufficient stock of chemicals. The Department of Zoology has a Museum with 300 pieces. One block of the building has 3 floors; a new 2 storeyed block is under construction. A parking shed is available for parking the vehicles of Staff and Students. There is an auditorium which is also used for social, cultural, academic and government sponsored programmes.

                Masjid -e- HakeemCollege with Abrabic Madarasa, Madarsa -e- Umar inside the College campus. A branch of the Centurion Bank with ATM facility is located in the nearby campus of the Engineering College run by the same management. This is accessible to the Staff and Students of the College as well. A sub-post office is functioning in the College campus. The College maintains a beautiful garden. Rainwater harvesting facility is available in the campus. Gardeners are employed to maintain the garden and to ensure a clean environment in the campus. Waste from the laboratories is dumped in covered pits.


                Six fully air-conditioned Computer Laboratories with 350 systems in separate U.G / P.G Laboratories with latest configuration and leased line Internet facility. Fully furnished Bio - Chemistry, Bio - Technology,Physics, Interior Design & Decor and Nutrition and Dietetics Lab. Language Lab facility to improve the communication skills.


                The College has a hostel which is housed in a two storeyed building. There are 32 rooms in the hostel, providing accommodation to 140 students. There is a reading room, office room, guest room, dinning hall also in the hostel. A Boys Common Room for the benefit of day scholars has been set up.


                The computerized Central Library of the College is housed in a separate block. The library has 31486 books on various subjects including the books in the departmental libraries. The library also subscribes to 29 journals and 34 periodicals and newspapers. These include Tamil and English general magazines, Arts, Science and Commerce journals. The books are issued to the students for a fortnight. Reading room facility is also provided with sufficient furniture for use of students. There is a separate reading room facility for staff and research scholars. There is a qualified librarian. There is also an Advisory Committee for the library with the Principal as Chairman. The library remains open on all working days from 8.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. There is an SC/ST Book Bank facility. There are 1764 books in the Book Bank of the Central Library. This facility is specially extended to the economically backward students. The activities of the Library such as lending of books, stock verification, purchase of books and the book bank are computerized. There are 2 computers in the library. The other facilities provided in the library are reprography, audio-video cassettes, CDs, Maps and Charts. Besides the Central Library, many Departments have their own departmental libraries to meet the specific needs of the students in the Department.
