COMPUTER SCIENCE

e-contents of Department of Computer Science and Applications

 

The Computer Science Course was established in the year 1993 and B.C.A. degree was added in the department during 2000.

In our department, B.C.A. is having two sections. One more section is going to get the affiliation from the academic year 2018-2019. Total staff strength is 10 members for major subject and 2 staff members for handling allied subjects.

4 staff members are SET qualified and 2 staff administrators are working in the computer laboratory.

Our department lab is well equipped with 103 client systems and 2 server systems.

The Server machine is installed with OS 2003 software and Client machine is installed with XP Service Pack 02. UPS is well supported on every time. We have 4 UPS attached (i.e) 10 KV-02,15 KV-01,5 KV-01. 100 numbers of battery are supporting to all the UPS Machines. We have 9 AC machines and 2 laser printers are also available for the lab.

The library is having more than 750 books for department subjects. Our department students are using the library books for all the time. Faculty members are deputed to attend Refresher Courses to update themselves for accomplishing their teaching responsibilities on par with the curriculum. The department has its representation in National Seminars and Conferences as and when such an occasion arises.
